The 6-10 day outlook for temperatures in early June is predominately warmer-than-normal across the entire nation
We are about to turn on the calendar from the month of May to June and this is typically about the time of year when the weather warms up and has been often referred to by ex-Phillies Manager, Charlie Manual, as “hittin’ season”. Indeed, as the weather warms up, the Home Run Forecast (HRF) Index typically climbs to consistently high levels and overall weather conditions become more favorable for baseballs to travel. It is no coincidence that current Phillies player, Kyle Schwarber, has made a career of hitting Home Runs during the month of June and that may just happen again beginning this weekend. Perhaps as a prelude to what may be about to come, Kyle Schwarber has hit a home run in the Wednesday afternoon day game against the San Francisco Giants being played out in California. The HRF Index is an “8” throughout today’s game in San Francisco indicating quite favorable weather conditions for the baseball to carry. The outlook for temperatures during the first week of June is generally warmer-than-normal across the nation…indeed its looking like “hittin season” is just around the corner.
